Experience nature — take responsibility
South Styria enchants with its rolling vineyards, peaceful forests, and species-rich meadows. To help preserve this unique cultural landscape, we kindly ask all visitors to treat nature and wildlife with care and respect.
Kindly stay on the marked hiking trails. This helps protect sensitive soils and the region’s diverse flora. Many plants are rare or protected – please do not touch them and enjoy their beauty where they grow.
Southern Styria is home to numerous wild animals as well as grazing livestock on alpine pastures and meadows. Keep a sufficient distance, avoid loud noises, and observe animals only from afar. Please do not feed any animals, as this can harm their health and disrupt their natural behavior.
Please keep your dog on a leash at all times—especially in forested areas and near grazing land. This helps protect wildlife and livestock and prevents potential conflicts.
Vineyards and fields are both workplaces and living environments. Please close pasture gates after passing through and keep a safe distance from livestock. Behave calmly and respectfully.
Please take your litter with you and help keep nature clean. Even small actions make a big contribution to protecting this special region.
With your responsible behavior, you help ensure that Southern Styria remains a place of relaxation, enjoyment, and rich natural diversity in the future.
