The Klapotetz hiking trail is the ideal opportunity to discover nature and traditions on Eichberg. An excellent circular hike with magnificent views and several highlights along the way awaits you.

Along the 18 km circular hiking trail, you will learn all kinds of interesting facts about the Klapotetz, the symbol of southern Styria. The 8-km loop can be walked in two different ways, and part of the route takes you directly along Klapotetzstraße. In addition to paved paths, idyllic forest trails guarantee a varied hike. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and excellent wines and snacks at the hosts' establishments – accompanied by the clattering of the Klapotetz.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Vogau-Straß exit. Take the B69 towards Ehrenhausen-Gamlitz-Leutschach. At Karnerberg-Spitz, turn right towards Eichberg.

Der Weg führt über Wald und Wiesenwege, durch Weingärten und Teilstücken auf befestigten Straßen.

Take a look at the Silberschneider family's farm and tractor museum. Here you will find historical equipment and tools from everyday farm life.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible.
