Styrian Summer Art: Freehand patterns and ornaments - Zentangle with Ina Rager
General Information
Workshop Description:
Zentangle is a drawing technique that is especially suitable for people who want to try their hand at drawing.
Small squares of paper (or larger ones, depending on abilities and inclination) are used to create patterns that combine, flow into one another, and interweave.
While the basic technique only requires paper, fineliners, pencils, and blending tools, there are ultimately no limits to the use of other materials. "No mistakes" is the motto! Various tangles are built up and explained stroke by stroke, so everyone can participate and then let their creativity flow. The implementation of three-dimensional objects based on the developed foundational structures is also possible.
Please bring:
- black waterproof fineliners 0.1, 0.5, and 0.8 (Sakura Micron or
- Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen),
- short pencil HB or 2B,
- white chalk marker,
- multiple blending tools (tortillion),
- watercolor paper or mixed media paper 200g smooth white or off-white in 9x9cm and A4 size; notebook smooth or dotted,

- Optional: brown fineliner (e.g. Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen Sanguine 0.3), pastel pencils, white gel pen Gellyroll 08 or 10, toned paper in brown or gray. If available: pastel crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, watercolors, small selection
