Workshop Description:
The focus is on free, experimental painting of a series of images – inspired by light, nature, and personal feelings. Each work is an expression of your individual temperament. Color becomes the inner compass: It reflects emotions, awakens courage for change, and opens up creative possibilities.
From large formats to small experiments, the workshop makes wishes and artistic visions visible and encourages trying out new techniques.
Whether figurative, based on your own templates, abstract, or in dialogue with nature – you will develop motifs that spring from your ideas and impulses. Artist Helga Piffl will empathetically guide you in questions of composition, materials, and implementation, and provide individualized support in the creative process.
Questions about image composition or painting techniques can be discussed individually during the painting process and resolved together.

Please bring:
- Acrylic paints (pigments): White 500ml;
- Primary colors each 250 ml: Cadmium Red, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon Yellow, Primary Yellow, Permanent Green, Brown, Black, various colors of your choice (favorite colors), acrylic binder.
- 8-10 canvases (50x70, 60x80, 80x80, 80x100), depending on the painting method possibly more. 3-5 sheets of paper for concept development (A3).
- Various brushes for acrylic, at least one wide bristle brush 100mm, natural charcoal, graphite pencils, ink, palette knife, painting knife, tape.
The Artist:
Helga Piffl works as an artist, creative trainer, and painting/design therapist in Graz. She received her training in artistic fields from Prof. Dr. Kiffmann (Graz), Prof. Milan Knizak (Prague), Sr. W. List (Graz), Prof. G. Rühm (Cologne), Prof. A. Svoboda (Vienna), K. Winter (Salzburg).
Training as a creative trainer and as a painting and design therapist at the Institute for Painting and Design Therapy Erwin Bakowsky (Vienna). Since 1996, she has been conducting painting seminars in Styria, Carinthia, Tuscany, La Gomera, and in her own studio in Graz. Use of creative media in adult self-experience and with children and adolescents.
