Styrian Summer Art: Let the watercolours flow with Moni K. Huber
General Information
Workshop Description:
Painting with watercolors indoors and outdoors
In the inspiring, centuries-old cultural landscape around Pöllau Castle and in the open-air studio of the nature park, art enthusiasts will find excellent conditions for watercolor painting.
We will thoroughly explore the properties and possibilities of painting with watercolors. In exercises, we will experiment with the relationship between water and paint, learning about the different effects of watercoloring. After some warm-up exercises with brushes of various widths and plenty of water, we will create a simple pencil sketch of our motif.
By painting in layers, which should dry in between, the transparency of the colors comes into effect and creates depth. We can also go outside to look for motifs and set up to paint in front of them.
"I see it as a fundamental human need to express oneself in color and form, often the question is just: how do I do that? My task is to stimulate this creative process and support it both in content and in technical aspects."
Here are photos of the Studio Class 2025.
