Styrian Summer Art: Bamboo, light, paper – designing light objects | Anna Rubin
General Information
Workshop - Description:
Designing light objects with bamboo and paper
By splitting and bending bamboo, fine, flexible lines are created that, in combination with paper as a surface, become light-permeable constructions. This results in freely designed light bodies and shadow objects that create a lively interplay of light and structure.
The characteristic language of materials in bamboo and paper influences the shaping process and invites experimental design. The focus is on exploring the material and developing one's own light objects.
No prior knowledge is required.
