Styrian Summer Art: Cut & Compose – Collage art in paper with Lym Moreno
General Information
Workshop Description:
Let yourself be inspired by the fascinating world of paper collage!
In this artistically inspired workshop, you will learn expressive techniques such as Paper Cutting, Cut-out Collage, and their free combination. Step by step, you will explore how to playfully develop your own visual language with shapes, colors, and surfaces.
The focus is on an experimental and intuitive approach to paper that combines precision and playful freedom. Here, personal image series are created that include both figurative and abstract motifs. In the end, they will be brought together into a leporello book as an artistic documentation that will bring you joy.
Cut & Compose is aimed at anyone who wants to deepen their artistic practice and discover new forms of expression—whether you already have experience or are looking for a creative impulse. Paper is not only seen here as a material but as a living space for design in which your visual ideas become visible.

The Artist:
Lym Moreno (Venezuela) is an artist based in Vienna who specializes in paper art.
She completed her Master's in Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes (UNEARTE) in Caracas. Since moving to Vienna in 2010, she has continuously developed her artistic practice, merging her Caribbean roots with European influences.
Growing up in Caracas, influenced by the vibrant Caribbean culture and her grandfather's printing house, she developed a close connection to the material paper at an early age. This familial legacy is reflected in her work, which encompasses techniques such as cut paper collage, drawing, animation, painting, paper dioramas, as well as printing methods like woodcut and screen printing.
