City Museum of Hartberg
The museum is housed in the "Steinpeißhaus" from the 15th century. Its roof structure is a testament to the craftsmanship of the 16th century. The historic route of the exhibition takes you through the city development and the calamities in the 20th century in the time of threats from the Turks, Hungarians, kurucs and hajduks in the early modern age.
One room is dedicated to the city law. The further route leads into Roman times, to the inhabitants on the Ringkogel and to the early findings from the metal ages and the Neolithic period.
