Hike to St. Pankrazen, RETTER Pöllauberg

• We start in front of the hotel past the quince orchards in the direction of the Haubenwaller wine tavern.   
• After the tarmac pitches of the Buschenschank, we follow the white-green-white markings to the oil cross.
•   We then keep left and walk straight ahead with a view of the pilgrimage church on the right until we reach the themed gardens.
• We walk past the themed gardens on the left and up the steps to the pilgrimage church.   
• From here, we follow the signposts for the Pankratiusweg via the main square, the access road to the village until we reach the junction with the chapel.   
• At the chapel, we keep left and walk approx. 200 metres along the L431 to the next crossroads with the signpost "Hartberg" and the signpost for the Pankratiusweg and the red-white-red long-distance hiking trail no. 943.
•  Both signposts guide us until we reach the Schwaig, shortly before - when crossing the Wiesbergstraße - we have left the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park. There is a SAM bus stop on the Wiesbergstraße ("Oberneuberg Wiesberg Schweigbauer" HF 5808), which we can possibly use on the way back.   
• From the Schwaig we walk along the markings of the Pankratiusweg to the Mesnerhäusl and the church of St. Pankrazen (SAM stop: HF 5651).    
• For the way back, we take the same route so that we arrive back at our starting point, the RETTER Bio-Natur-Resort (SAM stop: HF 5805).

For local transport we recommend the SAM-Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark.
