SAM - Community Taxi Easten Styria

SAM - Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark is from Monday to Saturday from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on the road. Numerous local taxi and bus companies are integrated into the micro public transport system. Booking via the hotline or online through the SAM WebApp is mandatory.

SAM is not a traditional taxi; instead, it fills the mobility gap where buses and trains do not operate. SAM thus considers and complements the existing public transport sustainably and in the long term. Furthermore, SAM is an alternative for environmentally conscious individuals who wish to forgo a car and serves as a feeder to car and bike sharing.

Thanks to SAM, trips to the doctor, shopping, or even to excursion destinations or hiking routes without a personal car are possible for everyone. 

Further information:

• Trips can be booked a maximum of one month in advance.
• Trips should generally be booked the day before. Same-day bookings are only possible if there are sufficient vehicle capacities available.

• Group trips with more than 8 people are no longer possible; however, you can get information from the central office about local transport companies that offer large passenger transport.
• Service hours Monday to Saturday from 6.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.
• Booking early increases the chances of shared rides, which are environmentally friendly and more cost-effective.
