Auf die Herrnalm

We hike from our starting point "Auf der Schanz" on the Zentralalpenweg 02 and Mariazeller Weg 06 in the footsteps of pilgrims and pilgrims towards Fürstkogel to the Herrnalm. This very varied path takes us through shady forests, lush meadows and alpine pastures. After a rest at the beautifully idyllic Herrnalm (note: the hut is only open for the Herrnalm festival on Whit Sunday) we then march back towards Fischbach. The path leads over the “Hohen Ort” towards Waisenschmied (note: do not turn towards Knappensattel but to the east). Once you have reached the Waisenschmied - an important junction of several hiking trails - there are several options for the way back to Fischbach: 1. via paths no. 16, 10 and 9 (Fischbacher walking path) 2. via path no. 16 and no. 10 via Riedlerhof and Freizeitland Fischbach to the village square 3. The route shown here on the map: We turn right at the orphan blacksmith towards Angerkarl and, once there, hike along the Fischbach on path no. 11 to the end point of the tour - to Fischbach.
