The “Hiking around Graz” brochure brings together 35 selected hiking routes through the varied landscapes of the Graz Region. The routes cover four hiking areas: Grazer Bergland, Lipizzanerheimat, Hügel- and Schöcklland and Graz & south of Graz. Scenic summits, peaceful forest trails and open alpine pastures characterise the varied routes.

Hiking safely in the Graz Region

Hiking trails around Graz range from leisurely walks to challenging mountain hikes. Careful route planning, sufficient drinking water and equipment suited to the weather and terrain all contribute to a safe hiking experience.

Sturdy footwear, sun and rain protection, and enough food and water are essential. Dogs must be kept on a lead on alpine pastures and grazing land. Current weather conditions should also be checked before setting off.
