From the Bergerhube, follow the forest road in a southeasterly direction. After a bend to the left, you cross a bridge, after which the trail branches off to the right (straight on to the Moaralm). Stay on the forest road for about 1300m and you will reach a crossroads. Either you follow the left road or you go straight ahead, a shortcut that after a short while rejoins the forest road. Following the road, you reach a stream that you cross without problems but mostly without skis. Now a large meadow is reached. You go into the valley and are already on the valley floor of the Schaunitzalm. To the right and left the cirque is bordered by steep flanks, also avalanche passages are located on both sides of the cirque. The tour is therefore only to be made in favorable avalanche conditions. One follows the valley floor, which becomes steeper at about 1700m. The valley you follow turns slightly to the left. Just below the Schaunitztörl at about 1900m the route turns north. One climbs steeply and with some hairpin bends in the steep hollow or to the left of it on the light ridge. Soon the terrain becomes flatter and after a few meters you reach the summit.
The descent is the same as the ascent.
In good conditions in the gullies or over the steep slopes to the NW of the summit down to the valley floor.
