We start at the parking lot in Seckau (1), 843 m, and thus in the center of Seckau, where the monastery, the municipal office and the Hofwirt are located. The hiking trail leads directly past the JUFA Seckau in a south-westerly direction. After the Regner confectionery, we come to a crossroads with a striking wayside shrine - the Färberkreuz (2), 855 m. Here we turn left and after a few meters follow the road on the right through the populated area and past meadows until we reach a crossroads after approx. 500 m. Continue straight ahead on an asphalt road, past a few houses, until you reach a gravel road that leads slightly downhill. We reach a stream and a small parking lot (3), 834 m.
From now on, we leave the road and walk past the wooden hut on the right, slightly uphill. A short stretch along meadows and then we are in the forest. We follow the well-marked hiking trail, which is a combination of paths and forest roads, until we come to a forest road junction, which can be recognized by information boards and Stations of Christ. Here we leave the road and continue uphill to the right along a path or hollow path. During the steeper ascent, we cross forest roads, but always stay in an uphill line until we reach the ridge and continue left at a crossroads station. Here too, the path is perfectly marked and clearly trodden. We pass information boards, where it is also much flatter. Just one more small ascent and we reach the Calvary Church (4), 1191 m. Past the church we come to a forest road, which we follow to the Tremmelberg (5), 1194 m, and the "Turm im Gebirge" observation tower. The way back is the same as the ascent route. A flatter alternative descent leads via Bauenhof vlg. Willhuber (see Tremmelberg hike via Willhuber).
