Pöllau tour via the Folklore Museum and Hotel Muhr, Pöllau

• We start in Pöllau castle park at the signposts east of the park café to the "Schreiner-Kreuzung".
• Heading east along the castle walls to the "Gerstner-Kreuz", we turn into Wegerergasse at the old fire station, along which we walk to the Aupark with Auteich pond and outdoor pool.
• Passing the outdoor pool on the right, we reach the L406 main road, cross it and walk along the pavement and the municipal road to the Hirt carpentry workshop, where we follow the white-red-white markings, no. 5/Roseggerweg.
• We continue along these markings until we reach the turn-off to the Masenberg or Schloffereck (folklore museum) via a field path just before the former Kohl sawmill.
• From here, we follow the white-blue-white markings no. 11.
• Later we meet the white-yellow-white trail no. 4, which takes us first to the Folklore Museum and then to Hotel Muhr.

Hotel Muhr - Pöllau

• Starting from Hotel Muhr, we hike along the access road and follow the "white-red-white, no. 5" markings in the direction of Pöllau.
• We return to our starting point in Pöllau castle park via the Höhenweg trail on hiking trail no. 5.

• Hikers should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time.
• Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any rubbish in the forest.
• Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest!
• In principle, every person in the forest is allowed to collect 2kg of mushrooms and berries per day for their own use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.

• Small backpack with water bottle (+ provisions)

• Appropriate clothing - preferably several layers - "onion principle"
