On this walk, you’ll stroll along the Schilcher Wine Route and pass Hollenegg Castle with its enchanting castle gardens.
The route takes you past the forest nature trail, wine taverns and vineyards. Starting from the information point at the Hollenegg Castle Cultural Centre, the route leads past the half-timbered building of the old Hollenegg Fire Brigade station towards the town hall and the Patrizikirche. After passing the nursery school, turn left towards Neuberg, heading for the wine taverns “Hansentoni” and “Eckfastl”. Why not take the time to stop for a drink? From the ‘Eckfastl’ wine tavern, continue along the edge of the forest to the Hollenegg building yard. You will soon arrive at Hollenegg Castle, where you will also find the forest nature trail, which you can follow back to the Hollenegg Castle Cultural Centre.
