Cycling for pleasure combines beautiful bike tours with culinary delights, Alpine huts and museums. Around the Brücklwirt****, your guests can look forward to enjoyable days of cycling surrounded by nature, culture and the authentic Styrian way of life. Through idyllic valleys, past impressive lakes, historic towns and fascinating industrial heritage, they can discover the diversity of Styria in an active yet relaxing way. Perfectly organised and ideal for groups, this cycling experience combines exercise, culinary enjoyment and genuine Styrian hospitality.
Day 1: Genuine hospitality. The journey starts out at Castle Trautenfels. From here, your groups cycle along the river Enns to the Benedictine Abbey of Admont, home to the world’s largest monastic library. Welcome cocktail and local dinner at the hotel. (37 km)
Day 2: Genuine insights. Accompanied by the river Mur, your groups ride along the Mur Cycle Path. Short stop in Bruck an der Mur for a guided city tour. Continuation and lunch break, subsequent tour at the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing. Glamorous alternative: Hat manufacturer Kepka. After cycling about 60 km, bus transfer back to the hotel. (up 470 metres EG, down 620 metres EG)
Day 3: Genuine versatility. Today’s tour sets out from the monastery in Neuberg. Along the river Mürz, your groups follow the cycle path to Mürzzuschlag. Here, they visit the WinterSportMuseum and marvel about the ski-jumping hills. Lunch break and continuation to the medieval Oberkapfenberg Castle. Via Bruck an der Mur your guests follow along the Mur Cycle Path back to the hotel. (72 km, up 310 metres EG, down 520 metres EG)
Day 4: Genuine sights. Starting out from the hotel, bike ride to the Red Bull Racing Ring in Spielberg. Along the way break at Seckau’s monastery. In Spielberg, your groups cycle straight through the world-famous track to the visitor’s center. Continuation to the fascinating world of Gemstones Krampl with a guided tour there. Option to enjoy coffee and cake. At the end of the day, your guests rewind with a wellearned drink on the hotel’s terrace. (65 km, auf 800 metres EG, ab 780 metres EG)
Day 5: Genuine strength. Along a 55 km long cycle tour, riders experience the exciting bridge forged between heavy industry and scenic mountain tops. Passing by furnaces to reach the Gösser Brewing Museum. On the way back, your guests may take a refreshing dip at Lake Traboch. (410 metres EG)
Day 6: Genuine coolness. The further your groups cycle into the valley, the more beautiful it gets on day six. Today’s highlight: the picturesque lake Grüner See (Green Lake), nestled in between steep mountains. Your guests spend their lunch break here. Ride back to the hotel via Bruck an der Mur, where they may get some ice-cream as reward. (82 km, 610 metres EG)
Day 7: Genuine memories. After a hearty breakfast, the trip’s last tour leads up the Erzberg. Later, your guests set out on their journey homewards, taking numerous delightful memories with them.
