Admont Abbey is the oldest continuously operating monastery in Styria and home to a truly unique treasure: the world’s largest monastery library.
Since 2003, the abbey has also been home to a large museum complex offering remarkable diversity. Visitors can discover sacred and secular art from the Middle Ages to the present day, a Gothic Museum featuring the permanent “Mayer Collection”, natural history collections, multimedia stations, a museum workshop and a varied programme of events.
