A circular path with reading panels of the best-known fairytales leads to the beautiful fairytale meadow in the middle of the forest!
The round shows the most famous fairy tales on boards for reading and reading aloud. On the fairytale meadow, a flat meadow in the middle of the forest, everyone can relax, play and look for a “Wurzelsepp” in the forest. There is also plenty of entertainment for young and old at the starting point in Fischbach. For example, the mini-golf course or the leisure lake are perfect places to round off the hike in comfort. The innkeepers in the village are great places to stop for refreshments.

From Vienna via the A2 southern motorway and the S6 Semmering expressway to the Kindberg exit. Here through the Stanzertal on the Schanzsattel state road L114 to Fischbach. From Graz via the Weizer federal road B72 to Birkfeld and from here via the Schanzsattel state road L114 to Fischbach. From Linz/Salzburg/Munich via the Pyhrnautobahn A9 and the Semmering expressway S6 to the Kindberg exit. Continue as above.
Elementary school, Fischbach
We start at the primary schools and go left past the Freidhof farm up the road to Roseggersiedlung. We leave the settlement behind us and follow the forest road to the left after the small chapel above the houses. There you will find the first signs for reading and looking along the path. The path is quite flat until, after the Frog King, we turn right up a short, steep forest path that finally leads to a large meadow in the middle of the forest: the Fairytale Meadow. This place inspires you to be a prince or princess yourself.... Tables and benches invite you to linger. Then we walk along the forest road until we reach the path above the Rosegger settlement again at the chapel and walk along it again until we reach the car park.
To extend the tour a little, you can walk around the Reithkogel. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view from the lounger.
