"In the footsteps of pilgrims and pilgrims" you hike on asphalt, field and forest paths from Vorau to Wenigzell - a great tour in the Joglland - Waldheimat region.
On this path, one learns interesting information about Barbara Sicharter, the founder of the order of St. Mary's Hospital Vorau. On the information boards along the way at the rest stops, selected Bible passages are designated, which invite you to reflect, linger and enjoy.The starting point of this trail is also well worth seeing: the Augustinian canons' monastery in Vorau is the only canons' monastery still active in Styria. Vorau Abbey delights visitors especially with its unique library and sacristy. This is also where the trail starts, also the first marking of the Barbara Sicharter Trail: yellow panels with inscription can be found here.Once you arrive in Wenigzell, there are numerous places to stop for refreshments. - We start at the Augustinian canons' monastery in Vorau
- We hike leisurely along hiking trail no. 919 to the Joglland bauernladen farm shop.
- Afterwards we follow the signs of the Barbara-Sicharter-Weg for about 300 meters.
- From there we continue walking on this path in a westerly direction until we come to the next information point "I am the salt of the earth".
- After about 15 minutes of walking we come to a municipal road, which we follow to the right.
- Then we cross the brook "Lafnitz" and reach the next station at Lafnitzegg after a short ascent
- In 45 minutes we reach Wenigzell
