ORGAN SOUNDS Where churches resound A cherished tradition in Eastern Styria, guests and locals alike appreciate the high-caliber concert series held every Sunday at 6 p.m. in one of the churches from Anger in Apfelland-Stubenbergsee to Pöllauberg in the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park. The "Sakralkunst Oststeiermark" association invites organists from Austria and abroad to play the excellently restored instruments in the individual churches.
ABOUT US ¨ Association Sacral Art Eastern Styria Eastern Styria is rich in sacral art. For centuries, people built, carpentered and painted with great skill, but also with enormous sacrifice and effort, to build the churches and chapels that we admire today. They were decorated by locals and by artists from far away, adorned with paintings and sculptures and made to resound with high-quality organs. The association Sakralkunst Oststeiermark would like to bring these works of art and artists, who come from our area, closer to the guests and locals. Experts from architecture, journalism, music and church history are working on documentations that convey our sacral art in words, pictures and sound.
