Start the hike at the Stubenberg parish church. You follow the Fieberbründlweg trail.

After leaving the village area, the trail leads through forests and meadows to Schielleiten Castle. There the trail leads past two ponds and after a short stretch in open country, it enters the forest, where it passes another pond and the gendarmerie memorial.

After crossing a stream, the trail descends slightly to the pilgrimage site of Maria Fieberbründl, where you will be enchanted by the sounds of the organ and bells of the pilgrimage church. Right next to the church is the "Gradieranlage", also known as the open-air inhalatorium.

Full of energy, you then follow the same route for a short distance back to the "Pausacklkreuz".

Continue through forests and meadows to Obertiefenbach in the direction of Ballonhotel Thaller.

Then turn left and follow the hiking trail marked "Hoamtweg" until you reach the St. Stefan church near Hofkirchen.
