A Christmas Eve in a posh Madrid apartment. Julia is deeply bored with her life as a rich landlady. She is a married woman who longs for adventure and sensation, but experiences nothing of the sort. So she creates a fantastically exciting life for herself by inventing one lie after another, which puts her husband and his friend in rather strange situations. After her marriage almost falls apart because of another lie, Julia decides to tell only the truth, without the slightest exception. But suddenly the most outrageous things happen. Julia alone knows the connection and tries to solve the muddled situation. However, her true statements and stories are no longer heard by anyone, as they are once again dismissed as lies.
