The Junkerwanderung takes us accompanied by the wine queen "Sophie I" from Junkerwinzer to Junkerwinzer and we march just under 3 km.
This year we start at the winery and Buschenschank Trapl and cover about 100 meters of altitude over two other Junkerwinzerbetriebe to our final stop at the winery Langmann. Let yourself be surprised by the young, Styrian messenger of the new vintage. Due to the size of the winery we hike with a maximum of 40 people, it is a nice harmonious hike with wine presentations, culinary appetizers and entertainment.

The meeting point for all hikers is at 12:30 at the Trapl Winery and Buschenschank. The Trapls have been based in St. Stefan ob Stainz for 400 years. Today Fabian Bayr with his Andrea and with the support of Edi Trapl runs the business and in addition to the winery, an excellent Buschenschank with regional specialties awaits you here. At the Trapl winery, a savory bite and two junket presentations - a Schilcher and a white - await us. Strengthened and with full vigor we already complete the longer part of this hike and master about 80 meters of altitude in just under 1.8 km uphill to the winery Weber. At the Weber Winery we are awaited by boss Susi Weber - known for her "bread baking skills". We taste the Schilcherjunker presented by Edi Weber and also culinary we are spoiled here. Via a beautiful, romantic vineyard path we walk to the winery Friedrich. It is just 500 m to the next Junker tasting station. The Friedrich Winery (home of wine queen Sophie I) is 100% dedicated to the Blaue Wildbacher grape. Almost 20 types of wine are created from this grape. Excitingly, the production of the Styrian messenger is explained to us and the family business presents itself and the new Styrian Junker wine - of course a Schilcherjunker. After about 1/2 hour, we walk across the Langegg site to the Langmann winery. The winery Langmann vlg. Lex has been family-owned since 1746, three generations live and work on the farm today. It is the first winery in western Styria to be awarded the "Sustainable Austria" seal of quality. At the Langmann Winery and Buschenschank, a white and a Schilcherjunker and a culinary appetizer await us around 4:30 pm. Here we let the hike end comfortably before the shuttle buses take us back to the booked hotel at 6 p.m. (if you have booked a package arrangement) or to the starting point of the hike - the Trapl Winery.
