Eibiswald was merged with the five neighboring municipalities of Aibl, Großradl, Pitschgau, St. Oswald and Soboth in 2015. Located in southern western Styria, the municipality borders Carinthia and Slovenia to the south. The pass roads over the Soboth and the Radlpass are especially popular for motorcyclists and excursions. In the valley, which has all the advantages of a temperate climate, sweet chestnuts and grapes ripen.
