Krieglach
The local poet Peter Rosegger was born at the Alpl near Krieglach, where he spent the first 17 years of his life.
The local poet Peter Rosegger was born on July 31 1843 at the Kluppeneggerhof. The farm is located 1,155 m above sea level in the middle of the idyllic forest home and is still only accessible for visitors by foot / bike. The house where he was born is now a museum and gives an insight into simple rural life in the 19th century.
