Krieglach

The great Styrian writer, Peter Rosegger, was born on the Alpl and died in his country house in Krieglach. Today's Rosegger Museum (Landhaus/country house), the forest school and his birthplace on the Alpl invite you and take interested people back to a bygone era. Events such as the Rosegger Week or the contemplative Advent Gala offer a connection to Peter Rosegger and are already known beyond the borders.

Countless hiking trails lead to the most beautiful peaks of the Waldheimat. Sports enthusiasts appreciate the recreational lake in Krieglach, which is located directly on the Mürztal cycle path. In winter, Krieglach attracts with nature experiences away from the hustle and bustle. Winter and snowshoe hikes as well as skiing are very popular leisure activities for beginners and epicures.
