Walking in Wildalpen. A circular walk which can be shortened well. Water is transported from the Hochschwab via Wildalpen to Vienna through valuable aqueducts of the second Viennese HochQuellenWasserleitung. The capital Vienna is supplied with drinking water and it is recommended to drink a good sip of water in Wildalpen at the origin. Rugged, steeply rising cliffs, provided with colorful alpine flowers and species-rich wildlife provide a great natural wonder Wildalpen.

The Siebenseerunde is not called Siebenseerunde because of the 7 lakes, but the area is called Siebensee. The round tour (running and walking tour) has a light blue route colour as intermediate markings and it is signposted in one direction. You start directly at the HochQuellenWasser Museum in Wildalpen, right behind the museum the trail leads uphill; first you come to the forest theme trail which leads to the forest sauna in Wildalpen. From there it is a bit uphill and at the bend the Seesteig branches off to the Hartlsee lake. From the Hartlsee you first walk on gravel and then on an asphalt road a little higher up. At a crossroads, leave the asphalt road to the right and continue on a forest road almost to the ski lift. Take the slope back down into the valley to the car park (near the forest sauna). Coming from the top, continue to the left on a forest road that leads to Poschenhöh. At the Kollnegg guesthouse, turn off at the crossroads and follow the Poschenhöh in the direction of the Rauchmauer on asphalt, where there is another small alpine path. Continue downhill through the forest to the Säusenbach stream and the Hinterwildalpen road junction (directly at the HochQuellenWasser museum in Wildalpen).
