Gasthaus Zum Krug is the starting and finishing point of the Hinterwildalpen panoramic loop . The running and walking trail has a dark wine-red route colour as intermediate markings . The running and walking route is only signposted in one direction. Immediately after the Zum Krug inn there is a large signpost, there you march in the direction of Buchberg and turn right in the direction of Goss. After about 250 m, the Panoramarunde branches off to the right onto a path and this leads you onto a lovely Waldsteigerl along the edge of the forest. You come to a hill, a great vantage point over Hinterwildalpen. From there, follow the forest road downhill to the Hinterwildalpen forest pool. The trail leads directly past the Waldbad Hinterwildalpen and over a wooden bridge you reach the road. Cross the asphalt road and follow the signs along the gravel road. The gravel road leads in the direction of the Eisenerzer Höhe. Below Lichtenegg at trail number 828, the trail branches off to the right onto a forest path, which leads slightly downhill to the last houses in Hinterwildalpen below the Großer Geiger. There you come to the asphalt road and go right, past a house and branch left up into the forest. A few steeper serpentines follow and you walk along a mountain ridge, the so-called "Sigridel". You come to a path again and this then leads down to the Hinterwildalpenbach stream. The last few metres remain the same and lead you back to the starting point.
Visit the guest garden at Gasthaus Zum Krug in Hinterwildalpen from where you have a great view of the new summit cross on the Grasberg in Hinterwildalpen.
