In recent years, online booking platforms like booking.com have gained more and more market share. Rating platforms like HolidayCheck, tripadvisor & Co now also offer the option to book through third-party providers. This has advantages for guests on one hand, but on the other hand, commissions are incurred with every additional booking through these platforms. Even though one should not completely forgo cooperation with booking platforms in most cases, it is worthwhile to make use of one’s own direct booking channels as optimally as possible, so that more remains from each booking in the end.
During the seminar day, we will therefore take a detailed look at how your potential guests search for a hotel, and how you can optimally use your various sales channels to generate more direct bookings and thus save commissions.

Target group
This course is part of an educational program aimed at all tourism service providers (accommodations, gastronomy, and excursion destinations) in the Styrian tourism communities as well as at the tourism associations.
The seminars are conducted by Kohl & Partner on behalf of the Styrian Tourism Marketing GmbH.
Prerequisites
Please note the following framework conditions:
- For the seminar, a maximum number of 15 participants applies.
- A maximum of 2 employees from a company may participate per seminar.
- Seats are allocated based on the order of registrations.
- The registration deadline is 2 weeks before the seminar day.
- For cancellations, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged. However, a substitute participant can be nominated.
