The name of the trail says it all – you’ll keep coming across winegrowers with inviting spots to stop for a rest and enjoy the view of the countryside.

From the spa gardens, follow the local road parallel to hiking trail 29 uphill to reach the Wilfen Chapel. Passing through vineyards, woods and meadows, you’ll arrive at the Klug Winery (Jaga estate). Continuing on to the Schober Chapel, you’ll reach the Koller Winery (Mostbauer estate). You will repeatedly walk through woods and flowering meadows, and will soon reach the Mally Winery (known as Schoberstindl). Walking uphill and downhill through the magnificent landscape, you will soon reach the Gamser Winzerstube, from where it is not far to return to Bad Gams. A beautiful but thoroughly challenging day’s hike that offers a wonderful insight into the region.

From Graz, continue on the A2 towards Klagenfurt and take the Lieboch exit towards Stainz/Deutschlandsberg/Eibiswald. Follow the B76 to Deutschlandsberg. In Frauental, leave the B76 and turn left at the Posch car dealership junction towards Bad Gams.

Vom Kurpark aus parallel zum Wanderweg 29 der Gemeindestraße folgend erreichen wir bergauf die Wilfen-Kapelle. Zwischen Weingärten, Wald und Wiesen hindurch kommen wir zum Weinhof Klug vlg. Jaga. Danach folgen wir ein paar hundert Meter abwärts rechts dem Weg 41+42. Wenn wir links abbiegen, kommen wir zur Wegkreuzung 41/42. Weiter gehen wir auf dem Weg 42, vorbei an der Schoberbergkapelle, und gelangen zum Weingut Koller vlg. Mostbauer. Von dort aus folgen wir dem Weg 42 bis zur Gemeindestraße. Auf dieser gehen wir rechts bergwärts zum Weinbau Mally vlg. Schoberstindl. Wenn wir weiter bergauf gehen, gelangen wir wieder zum Weg 41 (Richtung Grandlwirt – geschlossen). Beim nächsten Bauernhof verlassen wir die Straße und gehen rechts durch den Wald. Wir gelangen wieder auf die Gemeindestraße, auf der wir rechts weitergehen. Weiter talwärts kommen wir zu einer Weinbergsiedlung und danach zur Gamser Winzerstube. Wenn wir dann links abbiegen, kommen wir nach Gams zurück.
