The church, a solid structure made of a steel frame with brick filling, forms a wide-spanned single-nave hall. The supporting structure for the ceiling and roof is a steel skeleton consisting of the arch vaulting the wide hall.
Outside, the church was covered with brick-red plaster. The ceiling mirrors with symbols of the seven sacraments and the image of the Mother of God in the choir of angels were created according to the designs of the acad. painter Fritz Rogler from Graz and were painted by the master painter Walter Ramschek from Leoben. The mensa of the high altar, the altar of the sacraments and the communion bench were made of Salzburg marble according to the designs of architect Lebwohl.
The Stations of the Cross, probably the most precious thing in the Donawice church, was made by Ernst von Dombrowski. The original main altar, placed in the presbytery, which is strongly built up and elevated, is flooded with light from the tall narrow windows inserted in the lower two-thirds of the 40-meter-high tower.
