A wealth of hiking trails in the enchanting natural landscape of the Frauental municipality, featuring a variety of delightful places to stop for refreshments and destinations for day trips.

You’ll start at the “Aqua Fun” water park in Frauental. The route continues along the Laßnitzbach stream to the alpaca ranch—be sure to visit the alpacas! From there, the trail leads through a forest to the Hainzl-Jauk farm. Be sure to plan a stop for refreshments. After the Leitner ice cream parlor, there’s a gentle climb through a mixed forest to the Deutschmann cheese dairy. Here, sample a wide variety of cheeses before heading out on the final stretch through forest paths and vineyards to the Fellner Winery and Wine Tavern. The hike concludes in this beautiful vineyard, where we’ll be treated to an excellent Schilcher frizzante as part of the culinary hike. The return trip is a leisurely stroll back to the starting point.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the A2 toward Klagenfurt at the Graz-West interchange. Take the Lieboch exit and follow the B76 toward Lannach-Deutschlandsberg. Continue on the B76 to Frauental.

Der Start erfolgt beim Aquafun in Frauental, generell kann aber überall auf der Strecke eingestiegen werden. Bei der heutigen Tour geht es entlang des Laßnitzbaches zur Alpakaranch (Mo - So 10.00 - 18.00 Uhr). Wir besuchen "Balu" bevor es weiter Richtung Frauental Ort geht. Entweder über einen Wald - oder über eine Gemeindestraße wandern wir weiter zum Genusshof Hainzl-Jauk. Ein Einkehrschwung im Ab Hof Laden ist zwischen Montag und Freitag von 10.00 und 12.00 Uhr sowie von 14.00 - 18.00 Uhr möglich. Weiter geht es zur Eiskonditorei Leitner. Wählen Sie zwischen 30 Eissorten und lassen sich das hausgemachte Eis schmecken. Nun erfolgt ein leichter Anstieg durch einen Mischwald zur Käserei Deutschmann. Gertrude Deutschmann lässt uns verschiedene Käsesorten verkosten. Die Querung der B76 lässt sich nicht vermeiden, aber wie wandern durch die Unterführung - ist zwar einige Meter - aber es lohnt sich. Durch Waldwege und Weingärten marschieren wir das letzte Stück des Weges zum Weinbau - Buschenschank Fellner. Der Ausklang erfolgt in diesem schönen Weingarten. Im Rahmen der Genuss-Wanderung werden wir hier mit einem ausgezeichneten Schilcherfrizzante verköstigt. Der Rückmarsch retour nach Frauental zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung erfolgt individuell oder durch organisierten Shuttle.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible. Depending on the region, additional local transport options are available.
