The walking trail is a joint project by three restaurants, designed to show guests the beauty and uniqueness of the Schilcher region.
The walking trail starts at Cafehaus Ebner and leads through meadows and woods up to Hochgrail, ending at the Klug wine and chestnut farm. The magnificent views and the tranquillity you can enjoy from here leave a lasting impression. The trail continues via Greisdorf to Sommereben and the Jagawirt inn. You’ll gain an insight into one of the region’s largest chestnut-producing estates and can enjoy dishes enhanced with sweet chestnuts.

More information
Coming from Graz via the A9, take the A2 towards Klagenfurt at the Graz-West motorway junction. Take the Lieboch exit and follow the B76 towards Lannach-Deutschlandsberg.
Enjoy the stunning scenery and, in autumn, a range of chestnut delicacies, among other things.
Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.
For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible. Depending on the region, additional local transport options are available.
This allows you to start your tour stress-free while also contributing to climate and nature conservation.
