There's not a dry eye in the house. The illustrious regulars at Pension Schöller are celebrating their anniversary: the poet in search of a bloodthirsty novel, an ornithologist who doesn't "chirp" properly, a crazy major, a budding pop singer who can't speak "L" and Mr. Schöller, who is having a dialogue with his deceased wife in the direction of heaven. And in between, good Uncle Ladislaus, who mistakes the harmless pension guests for inmates of an insane asylum. And, of course, love is not neglected either.
