From the monastery gate in St. Lambrecht, the spiritual hike leads over 14 Stations of the Cross to the pilgrimage chruch of Maria Schönanger. The place is considered a special place of power, which invites you to pause.
More than 200 years ago, Agnes Zechner took the decision to create a new image where a simple wooden cross had stood from time immemorial and to build a wooden chapel for it. The solemn consecration of the present church took place in 1833. About halfway from the monastery of St. Lambrecht to Maria Schönanger is the Angel's Well, whose water is said to have a healing effect on eye ailments.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Here turn right in the direction of Teufenbach. In Teufenbach keep left in the direction of Mariahof. In Mariahof turn right and follow the road to the monastery St. Lambrecht.
Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten or Stadl an der Mur, keep straight on to Murau, in Murau turn right towards Steirische/Kärntnerische Laßnitz and from there keep straight on to St. Lambrecht.
In St. Lambrecht you walk from the monastery gate on the main road a few steps to the Grebenzentafel, where there is a trail sign. Slightly downhill you got the Schwarzenbach and to the fork in front of house no. 1 - here keep left uphill. Follow the circular trail to the summer toboggan run and the gondola lift. Then cross both tracks and soon reach the rest area at the Engelsbrunnen (1.160m) in the following forest. Here begins the Station Trail, which leads as a forest road along the 14 brick Stations of the Cross to the pilgrimage church of Maira Schönanger, which stands in a large clearing in the forest.
The descent is via the same path back to the monastery gate in St. Lambrecht.
