From Graz: S6 - Semmering Expressway, exit at Krieglach.

From Vienna: S6 - Semmering Expressway, exit at Krieglach.

Free parking is available in the center of Krieglach.

Starting from the municipal office in Krieglach, the route begins by passing the main square and continues past the cemetery towards the Freßnitzgraben. From there, the designated MTB trail follows the Freßnitzbach river. The ascent is steady and very moderate until reaching the Waldschule at the Alpl. The path leads south of the Waldschule and then turns west towards the birthplace of Peter Rosegger.

Please stay on the designated paths!
Riding the MTB trail is allowed from May 15 to October 15, 2 hours after sunrise and until 2 hours before sunset, and is done at your own risk.
Please do not leave any litter!
Hikers and pedestrians have priority!
Ride responsibly and stay visible!
Only ride a bike that is in perfect technical condition!

Take a detour to the Gasthof Schlagobersbauer and indulge in regional delicacies!
Other dining options include the Gästehaus zur Waldschule (snack station) and the Jausenstation Königshofer, located directly at Peter Rosegger's birthplace.
