Scenic mountain bike tour around Aigen with magnificent views of the Grimming and relaxing asphalt roads.
The tour around Aigen mainly follows quiet asphalt roads and partly forest tracks through the diverse landscape at the foot of the Grimming. Passing meadows, forests and the Putterersee, the route repeatedly offers stunning views of the highest free-standing mountain in Europe. A special highlight is the viewpoint at the Stalingradkapelle above Oppenberg with impressive panoramic views over the Ennstal valley. In the Hohenberg area, there is also the opportunity to ride the easy Eichschacherl Trail – ideal for beginners and families.

Turn off the B320 at Trautenfels or Wörschach and follow the signs towards the Irdning town center.

The tour starts at the bus station or the tourist information office in Irdning. Via Falkenburg and the Jagerlenzweg, the route passes Schloss Pichlarn towards Aigen and continues via Lantschern to the Puttererseehof and Ritzmannsdorf.
There, turn right towards Oppenberg and then left uphill to the Stalingradkapelle. The viewpoint offers magnificent views over the Ennstal valley and the Grimming. Afterwards, return along the same route back to the Brückenwirt and continue towards Hohenberg.
In the Hohenberg area, there is the option to use the easy Eichschacherl Trail, which is particularly suitable for beginners and children. The route then continues along the Ennsweg and through the Irdninger Moos back to Irdning. Via the Schwarzen Weg, you finally return to the starting point at the bus station.
