Wörschach gorge

The Wild Romantic.
In millennia of digging, the Wörschachbach stream has rushed and wildly dug its way through the rock. It is hard to believe that more than 130 years ago traders were still driving horse-drawn carts here and lumberjacks were laboriously using the power of the water to transport the wood down to the valley. The later construction of the Klammsteig was a true pioneering achievement.
In the summer of 2021 the Wörschachklamm was renovated NEW. Many industrious hands have done full work. Steig and Steganlage, rock walls - in exposed places protective nets and fences were installed - signage, display and information boards, as well as several lingering zones let the wildly romantic natural monument shine again in new splendor.
