Hike at Loser
General Information
Is there anything more beautiful than a hiking tour in the mountains of the Ausseerland region? On the local mountain of Altaussee, the prominent Loser, hikes with dreamlike panoramic views invite exploration on foot. From June to mid-August, trained mountain guide Gerhard Ziermayer is out and about every Thursday at 08:30 a.m. with hiking enthusiasts on the Loser mountain.
After meeting point directly at the Loser Arena at the valley station, the comfortable ascent to the mountain station takes place with the Loser Panoramabahn cable car up to a proud 1,600 meters above sea level.
From the mountain station, the exploration tour begins to the majestic Loser summit, where a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains awaits. Next, we continue to the next vantage peak, the Hochanger. The famous Loserfenster (Loser window) will of course also be included, as a popular photo spot, the backdrop is perfect for a memento photo. After that, we continue together to the next highlight: the crystal-clear lake Augstsee.
Back at the mountain station, the Loser Panoramabahn takes the hikers back down to the valley - including a complete panoramic view during the comfortable ride.
