Watercastle Roundway

Closed
Through the Donnersbachklamm and after the rock passage via the Ertlschweigerhaus and the Ilgenberg back to the village.
FAIRLY. Unfortunately, no. There is no castle to see here. But a hundred other wonders when you hike through the gorge and on to the Ertlschweigerhaus. From there it goes over to the Ilgenberg and back to Donnersbach.

More information

At Trautenfels or Wörschach turn off the B320 in the direction of Irdning and then continue to Donnersbach.
The tour starts at the Leitner Inn. Follow the signs and hike through the natural monument Donnersbachklamm. Shortly after the rock passage and over the steps uphill you come to the signpost. Turn left and follow the markings up to the Ertlschweigerhaus. After a few meters along the road you cross it and soon you are back on a forest path that leads you over to the Ilgenberg. You hike past the mountain farms and enjoy the view into the valley before you continue along meadow, forest and forest paths until shortly before the Erlsbacher farmstead. Here the markings lead you away to the left, downhill again over forest and meadows back to the starting point.

Way number: 2

After you come out of the forest shortly before the end of the tour, go to the Geschichtenplatzerl. Reading here and enjoying the view makes sense.
With the bus 941 to the busstop ,,Donnersbach Abzweigung Ilgenberg''. Opposite the Gasthof Leitner is the start point. Therer gives no bus-conections between summer holidays.

The next trainstation is far awawy 12 km.

Garbage on meadows and paths can not smell mountain and valley. Please take it with you. Agriculture and forestry are important partners for Berg und Tal. They allow you to walk and drive on many of their paths. Be aware that only good cooperation will guarantee your recreational enjoyment in the future.
