Approximately 5.6 km long trail, beautifully embedded in the high valley of Wörschachwald.

Wonderful cross-country ski trail with a circuit of the Spechtensee lake, which is idyllic whatever the season.

Leave the B145 Salzkammergut highway at Klachau/Zlem in the direction of Wörschachwald and follow the Wörschachwaldweg for about 6 km to the Spechtenseelift.
Car parking is available at the Spechtenseelift.

From the valley station you first run eastwards in the direction of the Spechtenseehütte and there - slightly downhill to the Spechtensee lake. In an anti-clockwise direction, you now go around the lake and over two loops a little further east, before you make your way back towards the Spechtenseelift.

Cross-country equipment with cross-country skis, sticks and shoes depending on your preferred cross-country skiing style - classic or skating.
Warm, breathable clothing.
Gloves, hood & sunglasses

Stop at the Spechtensee hut.
