Panorama trail Tonnerhütte

Closed
The Panorama Trail is a beautiful circular trail that leads from the Tonnerhütte across meadows and forests to the Herter Höhe. There you can enjoy the view and get your bearings from the panorama board.
The hike runs at the foot of the Zirbitzkogel, which at 2.396m is the highest elevation in the Seetaler Alps. It is located south of the upper Murtal in Styria near the border with Carinthia. On its southern slope rises the Lavant, a left tributary of the Drava. Its name is not derived, as is often assumed, from the Swiss stone pines that grow in places in the area, but from the Slovenia zirbiza, which can be translated as red alp.
