Directions
The ascent to the valley station of the gondola lift is either with your own car or with the ski bus of the Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße.

Already the ride with the 8-seater gondola offers the first views into the valley of Bad Mitterndorf, to the Grimming and Dachstein, and over the ski area of the Tauplitzalm.

After getting off at the top station, hike straight down into a hollow and follow the blue signs. Past the valley station of the summit lift, the path leads on the right side of the lift to the summit of the Lawinenstein at 1965 meters above sea level.

From near the summit cross you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Grundlsee, the Tote Gebirge, the Grimming and the Ennstal.Afterwards, the same path leads back again.

Past the gondola mountain station and to the left of the T-bar lift, the trail descends into a hollow to the rope connection lift. At the edge of the ski slope the path leads up to the Kriemandlhütte.

It is best to plan your journey to Bad Mitterndorf with google.at/maps.

Die Auffahrt zur Talstation der Gondelbahn erfolgt entweder mit dem eigenen PKW oder mit dem Skibus der Tauplitzalm Alpenstraße.

Schon die Fahrt mit der 8er Gondelbahn bietet erste Ausblicke in das Tal von Bad Mitterndorf, zum Grimming, Dachstein und über das Skigebiet der Tauplitzalm.

Nach dem Ausstieg an der Bergstation wandert man geradeaus in eine Senke hinunter und folgt der blauen Beschilderung. Vorbei an der Talstation des Gipfelliftes führt der Weg auf der rechten Seite des Liftes zum Gipfel des Lawinensteines auf 1.965 Meter Seehöhe.Von der Nähe des Gipfelkreuzes aus genießt man einen herrlichen Rundblick zum Grundlsee, zum Toten Gebirge, zum Grimming und ins Ennstal.

Danach führt der selbe Weg wieder retour. An der Gondelbahn Bergstation vorbei und links vom Schlepplift geht es hinunter in eine Senke zum Seil-Verbindungslift.Am Rand der Skipiste führt der Weg hinauf zur Kriemandlhütte.

Nach gemütlicher Einkehr geht es wieder retour zur Gondelbahn.
