A scenic gorge with waterfalls, walkways, bridges and ladders. A varied loop for active families.
North of Graz, the Kesselfall Circular Trail (R6) follows the Rötschbach through a narrow, scenic gorge. Secured walkways, steps, bridges and ladders lead past waterfalls, a small cave and striking rock formations such as the Steintor. Surefootedness and sturdy footwear are required. The gorge stays pleasantly cool on hot days. Along the stream, several spots invite water play and a break. After the gorge section, the trail continues on forest paths and returns via a forest road to the starting point, where Gasthof Sandwirt is a good place to stop.
