This tour requires good physical condition and endurance, as it should not be underestimated due to the altitude difference and length. However, your efforts will be rewarded along the way with fantastic views over the valleys and villages of the Murau region.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. In Murau, after the second traffic circle, the WM Halle is on the left-hand side.

Coming from Murau via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur), drive straight on to Murau. The WM Halle is on the right hand side after the double traffic circle.

The tour starts in Murau, from where we cycle mainly on bike paths to Schöder and on to St. Peter am Kammersberg. Once there, we tackle the first climb up the Kammersberg to the “Butterkreuz” and then continue steadily uphill on an asphalt and later gravel road to the highest point of the tour, the Greimhütte. The way back is via Winklern near Oberwölz, Hinterburg, and Katsch an der Mur, where the bike path leads via Saurau and Triebendorf back to Murau.

Particular caution is required on sections of the route that are on federal highways.
