Varied MTB loop around Hauser Kaibling with great views, sporty climbs, and plenty of nature.
This diverse tour around Hauser Kaibling leads over Galsterberg, Gössenberg, Petersberg, and Gumpenberg up to Oberhausberg. You can expect a good mix of longer climbs, scenic sections, and quiet valley stretches.
Highlights include the Madame Flow Trail and the idyllic Styrian Bodensee. Ideal for sporty bikers looking for variety and nature.
Permitted Riding Times:
- April 1 to August 31: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- September 1 to October 31: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

From Salzburg: Follow the A10 to Altenmarkt. There, take the B320 and continue towards Liezen. Leave the road at the exit "Hauser Kaibling".
From Graz: Follow the A9 to Liezen. There, take the B320 and continue in the direction of Schladming. Leave the road at the exit "Hauser Kaibling".
You start at Sport Hauser Kaibling and first ride straight towards Ruperting. There, turn left, pass under the main road, and continue towards Weißenbach. After crossing the railway and the Enns river, turn right to the parking area of the Haus-Aich singletrack.
The Haus-Aich singletrack is subject to a fee (€5), but free with the Schladming-Dachstein Card. This is where the Madame Flow Trail begins. At the end of the trail at the Sonnberg parking area, turn right towards Aich and continue downhill to the Enns.
Then follow the Enns cycle path towards Pruggern. From there, the challenging climb to Galsterberg begins, starting on asphalt and only turning into gravel in the upper section. At the top, the route continues towards Gössenberg.
From there, continue over Gössenberg into the Seewigtal valley to the Styrian Bodensee. The route then leads over Petersberg and through Gumpental via Gumpenberg towards Oberhausberg.
Passing the top station of the Hauser Kaibling 8-person gondola at Oberhausberg, the route finally descends back into the valley and returns to the starting point at Sport Hauser Kaibling.

- Plan breaks: Along the route, many huts and inns invite you to stop for a relaxing break and enjoy regional specialties.
- E-mountain bike: With electric support, the tour is also suitable for less experienced bikers. There are several e-bike charging stations along the route. Their locations can be seen on the map and in the elevation profile, making it easy to plan your tour and possible charging stops.
By train to the station Bahnhof Haus im Ennstal, then 2 km by bike to the valley station of the Hauser Kaibling cable car.
Sufficient free parking spaces available at the Hauser Kaibling valley station.
