Around the Buchenberg - Stairway to Heaven

Open
Stairway to Heaven - the all-time hit by Led Zeppelin as the subtitle for a bike tour in Schilcherland: How does that fit together? Perfectly. From our point of view.
The climb from Eibiswald over the Buchenberg to St. Oswald is a heavenly pleasure for every holidaymaker, local, mountain bike fan, e-bike tour rider or racing bike freak. Because: There is no better way to enjoy, experience and literally experience southwest Styria, the Schilcherland, than on this 23-kilometre short jaunt around the Buchenberg. In addition to all the enjoyment, this mountain bike tour offers the opportunity to make a good effort on the climb up to St. Oswald, which is gentle and wonderfully varied over long stretches, and then glide back down to Eibiswald just as gently and leisurely on the other side of the Buchenberg. And in between, take a well-deserved break at the Garber wine and gourmet world or at the Safran-Filatsch inn.

"Around the Buchenberg" - Stairway to Heaven is the bike tour of your choice, if you want to

  • want to cycle to two vantage points (Buchenberg and Garber) on one tour and gain impressive new perspectives of south-western Styria,
  • want to be surprised by countless new perspectives on the Schilcherland,
  • enjoy coffee and homemade cakes and tarts at Café Eckhansl,
  • want to soak up the incredibly calming atmosphere in dreamy St. Oswald ob Eibiswald,
  • want to experience a culinary highlight combined with the best view at the Garber Wine and Pleasure World,
  • or would like to ski back down to Eibiswald via the Buchenberg, one of the most panoramic downhill runs in the region, which is so gently laid out that you still have enough time to take in the wonderful landscape of south-western Styria.
