Spring holidays in the Green Heart of Austria

Spring in Styria is a celebration for all senses. It means being able to enjoy the first warm rays of sunshine long before other regions, getting outside again and enjoying nature and the outdoors. Being active. In Styria spring starts with the apple blossoms in April and continues through the grapevine and daffodil blossoms to the alpine rose blossom in mid-June.

When the sun tickles your nose after a  long winter and the temperatures climb upwards, there is probably no more beautiful retreat than the local gardens. Whether under shady trees or among fragrant, colourful flowers, it is here in colourful nature that the Styrian way of life fully enters the heart.

Fancy a picnic? In spring, Styria shows its colorful side. The apple blossom starts in Eastern Styria on the Apple Route, the wine blossom in the south and east, the daffodil blossom in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut region and the alpine meadows in the north turn the mountains into a pink world.
