Weyer
The "Güldene Märktl" [Golden Market] was founded in the 12th century and to this day the marketplace, a gem of small town Baroque style, attests to the former significance of the market. The health resort of Weyer is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling trips.

About the region
Weyer is geographically the second largest municipality in Upper Austria and borders Styria and Lower Austria in the south. The town lies at the mouth of the Gaflenzbach into the Enns, previously one of the most dangerous places for rafters on their way downriver towards Steyr.
